The Gibbs Avenue Center is a neighborhood hub designed to support families, children, and community life in Canton’s southeast neighborhoods. Located at the heart of the Gibbs Elementary corridor, Gibbs Ave. NE., the Center brings together early childhood education, nutrition, and community programming under one roof.
In partnership with the YMCA of Stark County, the facility will provide high-quality childcare and preschool services that ensure young children enter school ready to learn and families have access to safe, affordable early education close to home. The Center will also house the Gibbs Kitchen and community programs, expanding access to healthy meals, family supports, and neighborhood gatherings.
By combining education, food access, and community space, the Gibbs Avenue Center strengthens families, supports working parents, and serves as an anchor for long-term neighborhood revitalization — helping create a place where children, families, and the surrounding community can thrive.
