Canton for All People is a nonprofit Community Development Corporation dedicated to improving the quality of life for residents in downtown Canton, Ohio. Established in 2021 by Crossroads United Methodist Church in partnership with the Lemmon and DeHoff family foundations, the organization grew out of the church’s long-standing commitment to Overcoming Poverty Together and Seeking Health and Wholeness for All.
Through years of ministry and service in neighborhoods facing unsafe and unaffordable housing, high crime, and persistent economic challenges, community leaders recognized the need for a new, focused effort. Canton for All People was formed to bring community partners together to tackle these systemic issues with lasting, community-driven solutions.
Since its beginning, the organization has worked to transform neglected blocks by renovating and building safe, affordable homes, expanding access to essential resources, and supporting opportunities that break cycles of poverty. Its work reflects a deep belief that every person deserves access to quality housing, economic opportunity, and a healthy, vibrant community.
